Of Mythical Creatures and Mystical Beings

This is the Oakasaurus that greets us mid-way round our 3 mile walk. Can you see him? If you listen closely you can hear his thunderous footsteps.

I'm embracing Wordless Wednesday this week, (please ignore the fact that the scheduled posting is not working and it says Tuesday up above and that I've thoroughly filled your feed readers, I'm going to bed.) assuring you I'm still here. I do, however, have more words. I promise you they're coming soon.

He looks ominous, indeed!

I, too, did the (semi!) wordless Wednesday today, too, for the first time ever, I think!

This guy is no foe. I'm certain he's comes in peace.

Very cool, btw!

I don't do feeds... but really, do they repost every time you update and republish a post? Yikes - I must be really annoying my, uh, 3 subscribers.

My parents totally had an alligator in their pond my entire childhood. It never moved, just lurked, slightly above water, waiting and hungry.

I have heard of the mythical Oakasaurus. I reckon they're still around, like the jackalope and barking spider ;)

I love the Oakasaurus! Growing up, there was this huge rock that sort of looked like a massive frog. Someone even painted a face on him. Whenever we would drive by him to and from our house, my little sister and I were convinced that he was going to jump on our car. I'm sure my Mom added to the fantasy...by saying "duck your head, here comes the frog!".
