Strawberries would be the only thing ever eaten around here if I'd let the kids get away with it. One day, we'll smarten up and go pick them ourselves like you guys!
I remember going strawberry picking with my Mom - so fun. I wanted to take my kids this summer - but we've had so much freaking rain the crops are kind of crappy.
Maybe we need to come to CA to go berry picking. That's not to outrageous, right?
Mine are not fruit men, alas, but I assure you, if I was picking those fantastic looking berries, there would have been none coming home with us. They'd have to weigh me before and after to know what I owed them when I was finished with my little harvest!
Zip: Solid and unyielding, this 4 year old little despot is our Rock. He keeps us in stitches with his crass sense of humor, and butters us up with his endless devotion.
Tizzy: Our 6 year old Sprite of a son, who flits about radiating his charm and good cheer. Always enchanting, frequently elusive, he brings magic to our lives, and keeps us on our toes.

Mike, also not a fruit man, thinks Tizzy is very smart.

UUuuummmmm! Freakadelic! We went last weekend and between the four of us we ate four pounds of strawberries before we got home. Yum.
Mmm, I love strawberries. Not so much the picking of them, but definitely the consuming.

I remember picking blueberries once; Abby ate them as fast as she picked them!

Charlie calls strawberries 'ah-boo' (don't ask me why!) and he loves them. Makes for interesting nappies (diapers) though!
Fresh berries and sun?? (I mean sons) Heaven.
Just finished picking more fresh raspberries here in....Oregon.
That's such a British thing to do too! PYO starwberries, a sure sign of summer.

That says summer. Love the pictures. We just ate an entire strawberry rhubarb pie. Delicious.

We just went berry picking recently in the Half Moon Bay area. The kids had a blast!
This place looks like fun too. I'll have the check it out sometime.
So fun! The strawberries were terrible in NJ due to the month of rain we had in June. Those CA strawberries look great!
My oldest is also not a fruit person. Isn't it so strange that they don't like something so sweet????
Oh, I love these. July = strawberries. LOVE the shots of those long rows. Nice!
Ellie
