A Mouth Full of Change
Having been the kid whose loose teeth would dangle by a thread for weeks on end, I am very delighted to say that Tizzy has pulled out his second tooth in less than a week. He makes no bones about it. They're loose – he wiggles and plucks. This morning, at 4:30 a.m., Brad and I were woken from a deep sleep.

I wish mine was no nonsense about pulling his out instead of playing with it for days on end.
Gotta love that Tooth Fairy! Wonderboy pulled one of his out too - it was WAY easier then having me do it. I'm pretty good about stuff like that, and didn't think it would bug me, but I totally got the heebie-jeebies. He just reached right in and popped it out.
So lucky that your tooth fairy is not as late as ours who often gets delayed by an abundance of tooth losses in China. But just watch out... now that my 8 year old has entered second grade, she's calling the tooth fairy cheap and leaving her notes to hint that she should match her friends' tooth fairies with at least a $5 donation!
LOL! Didn't I tell you? The tooth fairy better take on a second job to support Tizzy!

My niece -- Jacquie's girl -- lost a tooth here last summer so I got to play tooth fairy for the first time in my life. I am changed forever.

That tooth fairy, she's a generous one. I'm kind of looking forward to this, as long as they don't want help pulling out the teeth. Ew.
My son waits as long as possible for a tooth to fall out. He avoids a loose tooth at all costs. Then when it falls out he screams because of the blood!

AWESOME! So glad the tooth fairy was so very generous...and not forgetful or afraid of firework sparks....(as she was when one of ours lost a tooth on the 4th of July. I was SOOO mad at her! :( )

The other day one of my kids said, "Mrs. S." - My tooth fell off yesterday!!!"

I'm sitting here with goosebumps at the thought of him just yanking it right out. Eek. But great for him, AND he made a profit. :)
My daughter had to have a tooth surgically removed from her jawbone when she was 4 years old and then had to have her two lower baby teeth "extracted" by the dentist at barely 5 years old because the two permanent ones came in behind and the front ones wouldn't fall out. She had already technically lost three teeth before she was ever able to FINALLY lose a tooth the "normal" way just after turning six years old.
Because of how she lost the first three, we lavished her with generous consolation "tooth fairy" gifts. She is so timid about losing teeth and won't yank and work them out when they are loose...and so we were soooo proud of her when she finally got that first tooth out the "natural" way that we lavished her with a generous consolation "tooth fairy" gift.
Now we've really started something.
The most creative "tooth fairy" gift was when she had been longing for a new goldfish and so the "tooth fairy" snuck one in her tank the morning after she lost a tooth. She woke up crying that the tooth fairy didn't leave her a "present." I had to pretend to notice the new fish swimming in her tank.
When creativity lapsed and we were ill-prepared for the next tooth loss, I just slipped her a five dollar bill. She was actually disappointed because it wasn't a "present"--something wrapped in pretty paper or floating in her fish tank.
...like I said...we started something.
